About Tom Knight
Tom Knight has been delighting children and their grown-ups with his original, interactive, musical puppet show since 1988. His unique blend of musicianship and puppetry celebrates reading (“The Library Boogieâ€), protecting the environment (“The Garbage Monsterâ€), and science (“The Solar Systemâ€), Spanish/English bilingual education (“¡Salta Caiman!/Alligator Jump!â€) with original hand-made puppets, catchy songs, and lots of audience participation. The vibrant and amusing visual elements appeal to children as young as 2, while fun lyrics engage children up to twelve, and adults, too! It’s a great addition to any school or community activity and is designed to educate and inspire young minds. Tom has performed more than 1000 times at schools, pre-schools, libraries, festivals, and museums across the country, including the Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC. Western Massachusetts performances include the Green River Festival, River’s Meltdown, First Night Northampton, and Jones Library in Amherst. He's currently working on his 6th studio album for children.
