Hold Fast To Dreams: Bringing Poetry to Life and the Stage! Grumbling Gryphons artistic director-Leslie Elias will engage Pre-K Students in a magical mix of music, merriment, poetry, storytelling and song! Leslie will read aloud poems by Edward Lear, Lewis Carroll and other great poets!. She will get the children up on their feet, bringing the poems to life through music, singing and recitation. Together, children will act, dance, sing and utilize the magical costumes and masks made by Ellen Moon. Director Leslie Elias is the winner of 2018 Connecticut Arts Hero Award and has served as a teaching artist for five decades. She never tires of bringing joy and empowerment to children! At the end of the workshop, she will engage the students in a lively follow up discussion to ensure and assess their understanding.
