This music workshop is aligned with Wit & Wisdom module Grade 3: Module 4: Artists Make Art
Students create their own rhythms and patterns, using drums as a form of artistic expression.
What It Is
• 100% interactive drumming, movement, and call-and-response songs
• All students participate—no spectators
• Focus on rhythm, teamwork, and positive energy
What Students Do
• Play on large unity drums (3–4 feet across) in small groups
• Use mallets (everyone participates)
• Use shakers and percussion
• Follow simple call-and-response chants and songs
• Move, stretch, and engage in light Tai Chi-style exercises
