Professional dancers performing, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and ballet (and pointe work). We provide costumes for each genre, and music. We provide a study guide for the performance for the teachers and students.
Open space for performance, could be a gym. A sound system and microphone would also be helpful but are not required.
large open space 20'x30', preferable.
I can understand the different genres (types) of dance. I can appreciate how jazz and hip hop dance were created in the United States. I can appreciate that Frida Kahlo had a challenging life but created power art work from this struggle.
Dimensional Dance performs exciting styles of dance. We show a beautiful new ballet called One Art based on Elizabeth Bishop's poem and a breakdancing battle between Savage Henry and Tiger, who made the top 40 in So You Think You Can Dance. We share the story of Mexican born painter Frida Kahlo, the complicated relationship between her and her husband Diego Rivera. and the love of her family that sustained her through her tragic accident.
