Festivals of India showcases the vibrant performing arts of India and popular festivals celebrated in the diaspora. Through live dance, storytelling, multimedia, music, and audience participation, students explore India's artistic traditions while discovering how movement, rhythm, and expression communicate culture, history, and community.

Students and teachers will experience:

1. A multimedia introduction to Indian festivals and dances

2. Live performances featuring expressive storytelling through hand gestures (mudras), rhythmic footwork, and characters with helpful visuals.

3. An exploration of Indian festivals, traditions, and legends through dance, visuals, and music.

4. Interactive opportunities to interpret gestures, identify symbols from nature, and participate in simple movement and rhythm activities.

5. Question-and-answer session.
