This puppetry performance, The Little Red Hen, is designed for Grades preK-1 and is a perfect fit for Wit & Wisdom Grade K Module 2: Once Upon a Farm. It also relates to Wit and Wisdom Grade 1 Module 2: Creature Features, which includes fables about animals.
This show, featuring a cast of funny and silly animal puppets, is a retelling of the classic American folktale. The moral of the story is: You must be willing to work if you want to share in the reward. The story happens on a farm and teaches where food comes from: it takes us through the process of planting a seed, harvesting, grinding grain, and baking bread-- so it also relates to Wit &Wisdom Grade 2 Module 4: Good Eating.
Fun songs and movement roles for a few brave audience volunteers make this an unforgettable way to experience the story.
