“This literary art workshop, Spelling Words to Poetic Visual Open Mic is designed for Grade K-5, and aligns with Wit & Wisdom. Step into a world where poetry leaps off the page and art bursts into color with our" Spelling Words to Poetic Visual Open Mic (K-5) " workshop! Each session begins with a spellbinding poetry reading, where students explore the vibrant sounds and the striking comparisons of similes. Students will dive into a whirlwind of interactive spelling word adventures and hands-on activities, bringing ekphrastic, concrete, and free verse styles to life. With a treasure trove of materials, paint sticks, colored pencils and other fun writing tools, they'll craft their own poetic masterpieces and unleash their full creative potential.
As the hour culminates, students will gather in a vibrant sharing circle, their voices merging in a chorus of support and celebration. Choose "Spelling Words to Poetic Open Mic (K-5) " to unleash creativity, and forge a connected, confident classroom. This program nurtures students' creative and analytical skills across all grade levels. Each activity fosters personal expression, artistic synthesis, and fluency, building confidence and a deep appreciation for both poetry and visual art.
