A bomba assembly for kids introduces them to Puerto Rico’s vibrant traditional music and dance through fun, hands-on activities. Children learn about the history and cultural roots of bomba, including its African, Taíno, and Spanish influences. They get to try playing the barriles (drums), practice basic dance steps, and experience the playful call-and-response between dancers and drummers. Through songs and movement, kids explore themes of rhythm, self-expression, and community. The assembly ends with a joyful group performance where everyone participates, celebrating the energy and unity of bomba.

For 2025, I am available to deliver this program **year-round**, with flexible scheduling to accommodate school hours. I can adapt the assembly to fit morning, afternoon, or early evening sessions. Specific holiday or cultural celebration dates can also be arranged in advance. If preferred, I can coordinate visits to align with Hispanic Heritage Month (September–October) or Puerto Rican cultural events. All bookings should be confirmed at least four weeks in advance to ensure availability and preparation.

For the bomba workshop assembly, I require an **open floor space of at least 15 ft x 20 ft** to allow safe movement for dancing and drumming activities. I will need **one sturdy table** to place instruments and materials, and **4–5 chairs** for drummers or participants who may need to sit. Access to an **electrical outlet** is helpful for optional sound equipment or a small speaker. A clean, non-slippery floor is preferred for safe dancing. If the event is outdoors, I request a shaded or covered area to protect participants and instruments from sun or rain.
