Asian Cultural Dance Performance offers performances of Chinese and Asian ethnic dances, Chinese opera / songs, martial arts, storytelling, and audience participation. Colorful and culturally rich costumes and the related historical, geographical, and cultural background will be presented along with the selected ethnic dances and cultural performance. Each Chinese ethnic dance brings different and unique dance movements and styles among the selected 56 ethnic groups influenced by each group's own traditions and customs. Asian dances include Malaysian, Japanese and Hawaiian Hula dances. Choices of dances will be based on availability of performers and/or specific requests by teachers/schools, for example to align with Lunar New Year celebration, Asian Heritage Month celebration or Multi-Cultural event. As an interactive program at the end of the performance, students will listen and follow instructions to learn and perform dance steps, patterns, and movements according to music and rhythm. Students will have the opportunity to learn, experience and demonstrate a Chinese/Asian ethnic dance. Will work with schools to pre-select number of students to participate in the interactive program.

A performance open space no less than 20'X18', in a gym or on a stage will be needed. A private room with a table and some chairs (which can be any office or classroom) for the performers to change and leave their belongings there. This room needs to be very close to the performing area to allow performers to quickly change costumes in between acts. A microphone will be needed for the MC. If someone at the school is available to be our MC to introduce our performance, written script be provided by us in advance. Our music can be on a CD or USB. We will need a CD or USB player sound system and someone from the school to handle our music during the performance
