The students will meet a little space alien whose earthly name is "Violet." She is visiting Earth for the first time and learning about how humans experience the world through the 5 senses. Since she has been on earth she has been feeling some big emotions depending on what she sees, smells, hears, touches and tastes here. Students will share their own reactions to the various environments that she encounters with the plants and animals that might live there as well. She will travel with her little samples of things that we can experience with various senses, like maybe a cinnamon stick will be in a jar that every student gets to smell, or an "animal" that they can touch for example. This tabletop puppet show is sure to excite all of the senses. Students will have time to share what they experience as well.

I will need to set up my table and puppet set, so it would be great to have one space where the students could rotate into, otherwise I will just need an extra helping hand to bring my table from one classroom to the need for time and balance in order to help the day run smoothly.
