Double Dutch Health, Conditioning and Training program is a division of JADHA FOUNDATION which stands for Juvenile and Adult Diabetes Health Awareness. JADHA FOUNDATION promotes and educates the community about diabetes, adults and children about the importance of staying healthy, eating right, exercise while you have diabetes, prevention of getting diabetes, building self-esteem and confidence in yourself as a human being. It"s very important before we do any jumping that we warm up by stretching and doing a 5-10 minute workout. I"m a certified coach with both double Dutch leagues, it"s my passion and a good way of exercise that all can do to get the blood flowing, heart pumping. 3rd graders will be introduced to double Dutch, learning to like it and just have fun with it, student will be positioned in the middle of the ropes and as the two turners turn in egg beater rotation with 2 ropes, the student would just bunny hop on 2 feet and then i would instruct them to do other movements in the rope while they are hoping between the 2 double Dutch ropes. 4th graders will do the same exercise plus be taught the correct way to jump in and out the rope, turn the ropes and different techniques and styles to jump competitive jump rope. My program could be both arts focus or arts integration. Doing double Dutch is a form of dance, rhythm, coordination, beats, temple, and movement. During my visit with all of the schools I"m also looking to form double Dutch teams to participate in worldwide organized double Dutch competitions. The sport use to be really big here in the city of Hartford which is part was of why my organization is trying to bring the sport back into our schools/community with the participation of all children boys and girls and the volunteer help of parents, teachers, adults. JADHA FOUNDATION jump Double Dutch for fun and competitively.
