Plastic buckets with basketball and soccer mallets; Hand-drums (African and Latin style). Bob's play-along compact disc is given to cohorts for follow-up music activities.
Armless chairs or benches for everyone. DRUM BUCKETS can be presented in any available space. MINIMUM TIMES: 60 minutes for load-in and setup; 25 minutes between sessions; 35 minutes for re-packing and load-out.
I CAN drum on plastic buckets with rap, hip- hop, rock & roll, and funk music. I CAN play music with family, caregivers, friends, and in the community. I CAN join school music programs.
Every kid plays a plastic bucket drum with basketball and soccer mallets. Led by Bob, they launch energetic beats to high-octane songs.* THEY ASSIMILATE VALUES OF SELF-REGULATION, FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS, PERSISTENCE, AND COLLABORATION. They"re motivated to join school music programs. They're inspired to create music with their families, caregivers, friends, and community. *Bob sings lyrics in Spanish, English, and Yoruba.
Bob has completed certificate training programs on arts-integration for autistic populations: The Miracle Project,"7-KEYS TO UNLOCK AUTISM" at Brown University / 'AUTISM THROUGH THE LIFE SPAN' at The Omega Institute.

Grade 3
