I will provide all the props, materials and sound system for the show.
1 table.
I need to arrive one hour and a half prior to the show to set up. So I will need access to the space at that time. Also I need one banquet sized table. Also, I need 11 volunteers for this program. I need to see the volunteers prior to the start of the show all together 20 minutes before the show.
I can recognize and sort numbers. I can understand money math, length, addition, subtraction, grouping and comprehend how patterns work. I can start to think about math as accessible and fun.
Mathblast 1 makes the foundations of math fun, informative and memorable. Combining magic, circus arts, eye-catching visuals and audience participation with my unique rhyming text, Marvin keeps his audiences laughing and learning. This show enhances responsibility and self regulation with a fun participation game at the beginning of the show where students are responsible for a certain number. I communicate a story and students with the numbers must move forward when their number is called. From the participants perspective, this is great to enhance their responsibility in the activity and great for students watching to see how the activity is communicated and give their approval when there is success. From 20 years of experience writing, designing and performing my own shows and 30 years of performing in front of children, I have created performances that have been able to bridge the age gap. With constant surprises, excellent visuals, my rhyming text and a knack for knowing what kids like, I am able to keep the attention of younger audiences, keep older audiences interested and teachers smiling.
Loading into and out of a show is always a lot of work. Any volunteers that want to meet me when I arrive to help unload is more than appreciated. Any volunteers that want to help me breakdown and load out is appreciated also.
