-I can look at art in different ways and collaboratively share my interpretations with my classmates. -I can "read" artworks like stories. -I can identify the key elements of a narrative, including character, setting, and plot. -I can respect the opinions of other students, even if I see things differently. |
|
After enjoying a docent-led tour of the NBMAA"s illustrious permanent collection, students are able to create their own unique collages using reproductions of those works. Students will learn the fundamentals of a narrative (including plot, setting, and character development) and interpret and present these concepts in their own collages, as well as in an inclusive theatrical presentation utilizing these skills and a culmination presentation of student collages. An optional follow-up activity asks students to title their artworks and write an accompanying story. |
