About Cecilia Kurachi Ube

Cecilia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Southern Connecticut State University. During her time at SCSU, she took part in a semester long independent study at Circle in the Square School, in Broadway, NY where she furthered her craft in Scene Study, Stage Combat, Movement and Diction classes. Besides having worked and auditioned as an actor, Cecilia has also spent the last 9 years working in theater education and entertainment - most often as a teaching artist and arts administrator. She has experience working at the nonprofit, regional theater, public/private school and collegiate level. Creating a safe space and encouraging an imaginative atmosphere is always at the forefront of her pedagogy.
