access to performing space 15 minutes prior to program. If in a classroom, I'd like at least 6' x 10'.
I can describe how birds build nests, lay eggs, feed their young, and learn how to fly. I can tell you which directions birds that live in CT migrate. I can name animals other than birds that can fly (insects, bats). I can understand how bats fly at night and find their prey. I can learn a lot of fun finger plays and songs!
A bird's eye view of the cycle of seasons. Includes nest building, hatching, feeding, learning to fly, migration. Ideal for pre-school to primary grades with lots of participatory movement, finger plays, simple sign language, poems, stories and puppets. I include short bits about creatures other than birds which can fly, such as winged insects and mammals (e.g. butterflies and bats). I can easily adjust the elements of the program to the level of the audience, so that all are capable of participating throughout the program.
During the program, the classroom teacher only needs to participate along with the students, modeling appropriate audience behavior.
Any number of caregivers are welcome to observe the performance.
