Jackson Gillman

About Jackson Gillman

Jackson has been performing for over 35 years and was long ago dubbed the Stand-Up Chameleon for his ability to transform into a wide range of engaging characters. He has been featured four times at the National Storytelling Festival, and four times Teller-in-Residence at the International Storytelling Center. Stories, however, are only one of the elements that he brings into his educational assembly programs. Participatory song, movement and sign language might be incorporated into his performances -- whatever works best to engage and educate his audience. Many programs are nature-oriented and while the themes vary, they are all highly visual, energetic and interactive. And when all is said and sung, it is apparent that there is an underlying foundation of beneficence, hope and spirit infusing all of his work.
