About Studio 860
Studio 860 is a performance group that aims to push the boundaries of Hip Hop Movement. Since 2009 and under the direction of Jolet Creary, the company has been developing work that fuses elements of b-boying, popping, locking, African, Contemporary dance and other dance forms to create narrative dance theatre. Studio 860 has a mission to extend and develop hip hop movement. The company aims to create an advanced form that presents hip hop as a dance form not just restricted to its commercial appeal but is understood and explored by a diverse audience.
