I CAN understand the meaning of "observe" and how it is employed by both scientists and artists. I CAN understand that asking questions is often equally important to the answers in the discovery investigation process. I CAN notice and wonder many things when observing.
Students will learn about observation through the lens of both an scientist and and artist.

On day one, students will focus on observation through the eyes of a scientist. Students will use their observation skills to discover biofacts and meet a live animal. They will create animal inspired artwork to close out the visit.

On day two, students will focus on observation through the eyes of an artist. They will discover several different artists, both realists and surrealists, they will meet a second live animal and again create animal inspired artwork based on their observations.
