DAY can be held in classrooms, auditoriums, gymnasiums, cafeterias, and multiple-use spaces. Available for room-to-room presentations so that kids can be "criss-cross applesauce" in their customary space.
I CAN: Follow rhythmic patterns with a hand drum; Follow phonetic patterns with my voice; Create a musical idea with a hand drum.
DAY ignites curiosity. Every student plays. They are excited by hands-on participation in a song-based drumrollick that has musical form, captivating beats, catchy melodies, exhilarating harmonies, intriguing rhythm patterns, and positive lyrics in English and Spanish.Kids get their heart and hands around Bob"s curious and colorful cargo of age-appropriate drums. To ensure equality, they each get the same type of drum.

They take away social-emotional skills for self-regulation, teamwork, and following directions. Bob"s interactive drumming creates an experience of success that fosters joy, esteem, and confidence. To increase their agility for communication and for rhythms of reading, Bob leads kids to play drumming accompaniments to songs by teaching them how to mirror spoken-word patterns on the drums. Grade-to-grade, the patterns increase in challenge to amplify agility. The activities build gross and fine motor skills. They reinforce capacity-enhanced, synaptic learning. DRUMMING ABOUT YOU is engaging and accessible to students with developmental, physical, and multiple disabilities. Sensory-friendly instruments and adaptive accessories can be provided with advance notice.
Educators and professional providers take away ideas and skills to lead interactive drumming activities, and to integrate the drumming as a medium to convey the values of self-discipline, following directions, empathy, and collaboration. Bob gives each classroom his play-along compact disc to support the activities.
DRUMMING ABOUT YOU welcomes any number of adult family members, siblings, and caregivers to participate. Bob requires advance notice of attendance to insure having enough instruments for everyone to play.
