Program objective: to teach students the difference between competitive double dutch and street double dutch.


Grade 3: Gaining student interest in the sport and teaching them to just have fun with it.


Grades 4 & up: Teaching students more and more how to work as a team, acknowledge the sport, learn how to be trained for competitions with others schools, organizations teams.
I encourage teachers, parents etc. to be envolved with activities when needed.

Grade 3

Grade 3: Speaking and Listening Standards: Comprehension and Collaboration #1: Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 3 topics and texts, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly. c. Ask questions to check understanding of information presented, stay on topic, and link their comments to the remarks of others.
Grade 3: Dance: Creating: Anchor Standard 2: Organize and develop artistic ideas and work.: a. Identify and experiment with choreographic devices to create simple movement patterns and dance structures (for example, AB, ABA, theme and development)

Grade 4

Grade 4: Speaking and Listening Standards: Comprehension and Collaboration #3: Identify the reasons and evidence a speaker provides to support particular points.
Grade 4: Dance: Performing: Anchor Standard 5: Develop and refine artistic techniques and work for presentation: b. Execute techniques that extend movement range, build strength, and develop endurance. Explain the relationship between execution of technique, safe body-use, and healthful nutrition.

Grade 5

Grade 5: Speaking and Listening Standards: Comprehension and Collaboration #1. Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 5 topics and texts, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly. c: Pose and respond to specific questions by making comments that contribute to the discussion and elaborate on the remarks of others.
Grade 5: Dance: Creating: Anchor Standard 3: Refine and complete artistic work: a. Explore through movement the feedback from others to expand choreographic possibilities for a short dance study that communicates artistic intent. Explain the movement choices and refinement

Grade 6: Speaking and Listening Standards: Comprehension and Collaboration #1: Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 6 topics, texts, and issues, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly. b: Follow rules for collegial discussions and decision-making, track progress toward specific goals and deadlines, and define individual roles as needed.
Grade 6: Dance: Performing: Anchor Standard 5: Develop and refine artistic techniques and work for presentation: c. Collaborate as an ensemble to refine dances by identifying what works and does not work in executing complex patterns, sequences, and formations. Solve movement problems to dances by testing options and finding good results. Document self improvements over time
