I can follow the story based on the movements in the dance. I can identify the characters based on their movements. I can see how the music enhances the story. I can identify chcaracters and setting by the costumes and scenery.
This abbreviated version of Sleeping Beauty will focus on final act of the ballet; the wedding scene of the well-known fairy tale ballet. The Royal family greets their guests and all are entertained by the many cultural dances from around the world (ie. Spanish, Mazurka, Czardas dancers), fairly tale characters (Blue Bird, Red Riding Hood, etc). All the fairies join the lilac fairy in celebrating the marriage of the prince and princess, who live happily every after.
The performance of the Nutcracker as viewed as an arts/pe program will focus more on the training and technique and theatrical elements required to produce the performance rather than the story line
one performance - 364 tickets. Must have 250 attendees to hold the performance
There are no volunteer opportunities available as the University has requirements for ushers that Ballet Theatre Company must abide by
